"Eulis is an amazing teacher.
He is vibrant, encouraging, and gives great examples (and often humorous) examples to help better understand working the voice.
In just my very first lesson, he pinpointed huge holes in my singing that I never even noticed before in recordings of myself, and attuned each exercise specific to my needs.
I'm looking forward to improving with him!
(and he definitely deserves all five stars)"

"Eulis is one in a million - he gives helpful constructive criticism while making you feel confident and at ease. As someone who can be rattled by being vulnerable in front of people, I MUCH appreciate this! On top of his knowledge and skills, his demeanor is also phenomenal. Playful yet professional, friendly yet respectful of boundaries. I'm thrilled I've found him and can't wait to see where my next lessons take me."
Sam G. Clarinet · Online "I could not recommend a better teacher and person in Eulis. His kind spirit, patient demeanor, and gifted voice provides any student with a strong example of what a professional musician looks like. What most people need is someone who doesn't just paint by the numbers but who is able to assess your goals, talents and desires and match it with just the right program; you'll progress quickly and enjoy every minute of the effort. Because of his vast experience, breadth of skills and years of singing, Eulis provides the kind of musical insights that help you find out who you are and discover or refine your voice. Thanks, Eulis for all the great work we've done together and I look forward to more!" Brian T. Christian Gospel · In studio Online Lessons Available via Zoom, Skype, or FaceTime!
Location: The World Wide Web "I highly recommend Eulis. I'm an experienced singer in the middle of an album project, and I was able to take away some huge tips I was able to put into practice immediately. His ears are incredibly sensitive and can hear what's going on with you in world class form.
Highly recommend!!!" Michael B. Singing · In studio "I am so excited to see Eulis on this site! Having worked professionally in Tokyo with Eulis, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that he has a sound and complete understanding of the voice. He also has the ear and ability to offer tips and advice to aid in building a strong foundation and exploring different facets of your voice. Many times, I would ask Eulis for tips on sections of music that I had been working on or had been coached on that still were not clicking. Eulis offered SO many tidbits that helped me to find a better placement for those problem spots as well as helping me to connect my intention with my body as well as my voice, all the while never making me feel insecure or like I was wrong. His positive approach has definitely taught me many things that I am STILL using to this day! Thanks Eulis! <5 STARS>" -Michael S.- "Eulis is very good! he understands my difficulties in storytelling and gave me so many insightful tips. He helped me explore a new world!

I started my musical education as a woodwind player and settled in to the wonderful world of singing to find more of a personal challenge. Music has opened up so many opportunities for me throughout the years, from touring the world to performing in marvelous concert halls and working with some of today's most respected artists, as well as giving me the opportunity to expand my performance through acting in various plays, musicals, television, and film." "Performing has been my salvation! Throughout my life it has been a best friend and constant source of joy, and I share this gift with others so that it might help them to find the same joy. After nearly 20 years of teaching, I have so many experiences to draw from and share with my students. I spent 9 years performing with Disney in California and abroad in their Tokyo Disney cast, and I must say that those experiences, being so vast and varied, gave the word "performance" a new depth. I'm always excited to dive into every lesson with fresh ideas that will mesh well with many tried and tested teaching techniques." -Eulis My Voice/Speech Teaching Style Over the past several years I have focused much of my personal growth on developing my ears' ability to pick out and pinpoint vocal “placement”, resonance, subtleties of timbre, changes in pitch, breath support, air speed and flow, pronunciation and diction, and, in general, the way in which all of these work together to create style. From these assessments, I work with the student’s particular needs to address each area individually and based on the learning style of each person. To illustrate to the student their method as I see and hear it, as well as ways in which they might make gentle changes to facilitate the ease of singing --be they changes to the tessitura (range), length of phrase, tone color, the release of unnecessary tension etc.-- I make use of vocalise (vocal exercises), simile and metaphor, examples from recorded performances, demonstration, self assessment, and techniques to “trick” the voice into responding in a different way. From there, the student experiences a new sensation from which they can learn. In addition, I often use videos, diagrams, and texts on anatomy and physiology as well as physicality to help my more visual/tactile/kinesthetic learners. I feel that all of these tools work together to provide a unique and personalized learning experience for each student. I stand by the philosophy that most of the progress you will make during our time together will not be with me... not during our sessions; but instead, the majority of the progress you witness will be made in the epiphanies you have on your own, during the time you spend practicing and drilling your specific areas of difficulty. As a teacher, I serve as more of a guide, directing you towards ideas, theories, and concepts that you may or may not have thought of on your own, and helping to expand those ideas in a way that best serves you. I also aim to act as a mirror to help you gain an objective view of your progress, challenges, and to see your own views about each technique and how it affects your performance. "Originally from Los Angeles, I now live and teach in Orange County, California and have expanded my studio to many different countries with online lessons via video chat as well! It has been very fun to share my experiences and learn from people from all over the world, and I cherish each day that I get to do so." If you're interested in learning more about me and my teaching style, feel free to contact me and I'd be happy to talk with you about a plan to help you reach your goals!" |
